This keystone insert lets you build a custom wallplate connection for HDMI cabling. It functions as a coupler, joining a male/male HDMI cable running through the wall to a shorter male/male HDMI cable on the front side, so you never have to fish a single long cable through your wall again.
The insert is rotated 90 degrees to snap into any standard keystone wallplate opening. It requires a keystone-style faceplate and a low-voltage mounting bracket or gang box, both sold separately.
Connections are gold-plated on both the front and back female ports for a reliable, corrosion-resistant signal path. This version has been tested and certified to meet HDMI v1.4 specifications, and the manufacturer confirms compatibility with later HDMI revisions, including v2.0, making it suitable for 3D TVs and Ethernet-enabled HDMI setups.
