This right-angle adapter connects a standard male HDMI cable to a female HDMI port, redirecting the connection upward. It’s useful for wall-mounted TVs or tight installations where a straight cable connector won’t fit or would stick out too far from the wall.
The adapter has gold-plated contacts for a corrosion-resistant connection and is built to the HDMI 1.4 specification. Once a male HDMI cable is plugged in, the assembly adds about 3/8″ of clearance behind the port.
- Connector type: HDMI Male to HDMI Female
- Angle: 90 degrees, upward facing
- Plating: Gold plated contacts
- Standard: HDMI 1.4 certified
- Clearance added: approx. 3/8 inch
Before ordering, check the orientation of your device’s HDMI port to confirm that an upward-facing adapter matches your setup, since adapters are also made in downward and other angled orientations. Because adapters, switches, and connectors add some resistance to the HDMI signal, using a thicker gauge HDMI cable alongside this adapter is recommended, particularly for longer cable runs or higher-bandwidth video formats.
