This 2ft cable lets you record line-level audio directly into a smartphone or other TRRS-equipped device, bypassing the built-in microphone for cleaner sound capture. It connects a standard 3.5mm TRS stereo output, such as a mixer, soundboard, laptop, or tablet, to the TRRS microphone/headset input on a phone or tablet.

An embedded attenuator inside the cable reduces the line-level signal down to the proper level for a phone’s microphone input, preventing distortion or overly hot signal levels. The TRS end is marked “Audio Source” and connects to your output device, while the right-angled TRRS end is marked “Captioning” and plugs into the recording device.
