This converter takes SD-SDI, HD-SDI, or 3G-SDI signals delivered over a BNC coax cable and converts them to HDMI output, so SDI sources can be displayed on standard HDMI monitors and TVs. It supports signal bit rates up to 2.970 Gbit/s for stable, low-loss transmission at resolutions up to 1080P/60Hz.
In addition to video, the converter extracts the audio embedded in the SDI signal and re-embeds it into the HDMI output, keeping sound and picture synchronized even over long cable runs. It can also be paired with a compatible HDMI-to-SDI converter to create a balun-style link, sending an HDMI signal between two devices over coax cable.
