12 Inch CAT7 Shielded Network Port Saver Adapter, Gray

This 12 inch CAT7 shielded port saver adapter extends an existing Ethernet connection so it can reach a router, streaming device, or other network equipment without having to run a new cable. Its male-to-female RJ45 design attaches directly to a wall jack or patch panel port, taking on the wear from repeated plugging and unplugging so the fixed network port stays protected.

It also works well as a spare patch cable for testing or setting up temporary connections in a classroom or conference room, or as a short extension left in place in hard-to-reach areas. With gold-plated contacts and shielding rated for up to 550 MHz of bandwidth, it supports high-speed data transfer for servers, cloud computing, video surveillance, and HD video streaming. The RJ45 connector is compatible with common LAN devices, including computers, printers, routers, switches, network media players, NAS units, VoIP phones, PoE equipment, hubs, DSL modems, and game consoles.
