This BNC compression connector is designed for terminating Quad Shield RG6 coax cable to build 6G-SDI capable video runs. It maintains 75 ohm impedance and is compatible with SD-SDI, ED-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 6G-SDI signal standards, making it suitable for legacy and current video infrastructure alike.
The connector supports the higher 6Gbps data rate required for 4Kx2K video and audio transmission, including 10/12-bit 4Kx2K RAW and 10-bit 4Kx2K YUV 4:2:2 formats, as well as 1080p across all formats up to YUV 4:4:4. When paired with Quad Shield RG6 coax, it has been tested for reliable signal transmission at cable lengths up to 200 feet.
To install, strip approximately 1/2 inch of the outer insulation, shielding, and dielectric material from the coax cable, leaving the center conductor exposed before compressing the connector onto the cable end.
