This Cat5E crossover cable is designed to connect two networked devices directly to each other, such as a PC-to-PC connection or a PC-to-game console link, without needing a hub, switch, or router in between. If you’re connecting to a hub, switch, or router, use a standard (non-crossover) Cat5E cable instead, as this cable’s wiring will not work correctly for that purpose.
The cable uses stranded internal wiring for added flexibility, making it easier to route through tight spaces or around furniture and equipment. Molded snagless boots protect the RJ45 connectors and keep the clips from catching on cables or hardware during installation or removal.
