This 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for data center, enterprise wiring closet, and service provider network applications. It uses an 850nm VCSEL laser transmitter and a duplex LC connector, and installs into any standard SFP+ port with hot-pluggable support.
The module is designed for use over multimode fiber (MMF). Reach varies depending on the fiber grade in use, with longer distances achievable on higher-bandwidth OM3 and OM4 cabling.
