This adapter lets you connect a standard male HDMI cable to a female HDMI port at a 90 degree downward angle. It’s useful when a device’s HDMI port sits too close to a wall or other obstruction for a straight cable connection to fit, such as with a wall-mounted TV.
The connector is gold plated for reliable signal transfer and corrosion resistance, and is built to HDMI 1.3 specifications. Once a male HDMI cable is plugged in, the adapter adds about 3/8 inch of protruding clearance, helping the cable sit flush against the wall or mounting surface.
- Orientation: 90 degree angle, down facing
- Connector: Male HDMI to Female HDMI
- Plating: Gold plated contacts
- Standard: HDMI 1.3 certified
- Clearance after connection: approximately 3/8 inch
Because adapters and connectors add some resistance to an HDMI signal path, using a thicker gauge HDMI cable with this adapter is recommended for the best results. Before purchasing, check the orientation shown in the product photo against the direction your device’s HDMI port faces to confirm it matches your setup.
