This 12G-SDI BNC coax cable is built to carry high-bandwidth video and audio signals for 4K workflows. It meets SMPTE ST-2082 12G-SDI standards and supports data rates up to 12 Gbps, allowing transmission of 4Kx2K resolution (2160p30 YUV 4:4:4) at 60Hz. Higher resolutions may be achievable with hardware compression, depending on the connected equipment.
The 12G-SDI standard is fully backward compatible with SD-SDI, ED-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 6G-SDI specifications (SMPTE ST-2082, 259M, 344M, 292M, 373M, 424M, and ST-2081), so this cable can also be used in older SDI setups while offering headroom for future 4K and higher-bandwidth applications.
Built with RG6/18AWG coax and male-to-male BNC connectors with gold-plated pins for a reliable, low-resistance connection, this cable is suited for professional video production, broadcast, and AV installation environments.
