This subwoofer cable connects a single RCA output on a receiver or amplifier to a subwoofer that uses standard speaker-wire style terminals instead of RCA inputs. One end terminates in a male RCA plug for the receiver’s subwoofer output; the other end splits into two speaker wire leads, one positive and one negative, for connection to the subwoofer’s speaker-level input terminals.
This cable is designed for subwoofers with a single positive and single negative terminal. It is not compatible with older subwoofers that use two positive and two negative terminals, and it should not be used in place of a standard RCA-to-RCA connection between a receiver and a powered subwoofer with RCA inputs.
