Plug the male end into the USB signal source (such as a computer or hub port), and one female end will carry both data and power, while the other female end is dedicated to power only for charging.

Both ports draw from the connected USB source. Available charging power depends on the source port and the connected devices.

The power-only leg includes a built-in resistor that signals a charging current, making it compatible with both Apple and Android phones and tablets for simultaneous charging. Note that this cable is not a USB hub or splitter – it does not allow two devices to send or receive data at the same time, only one device can use the data connection while the other charges.
